Congratulations to Year 13 Prefects Sarah and Lisa Hellyer on securing full athletic scholarships to Indiana University Bloomington in the United States.

We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Year 13 students Sarah and Lisa Hellyer, who have both secured full athletic scholarships to Indiana University Bloomington in the United States. These scholarships cover their full costs, providing an excellent opportunity to pursue university study while continuing to develop their sporting careers at a high level.

This achievement reflects Sarah and Lisa's success in both sport and academics. Their scholarships will allow them to explore university study in areas of interest including Engineering, Business and Science. Both students believe that consistency in their sporting performances has been an important factor in securing these opportunities. As part of their decision making, they also had the opportunity to undertake a fully funded trip to the United States, visiting three universities before choosing Indiana University.

Sarah and Lisa now look forward to the next stage of their education and sporting careers, with ambitions that include competing at a future Olympic Games. They have expressed their appreciation for the support and encouragement they have received throughout their time at OHS and beyond.
