Join us this week as we celebrate Niuean language and culture at OHS.
Fakaalofa lahi atu! 🇳🇺
This week, Onehunga High School is celebrating Niue Language Week (18–24 October), recognising the language and culture of Niue and our Niuean community. This year's theme, “Working together to diligently teach and strengthen Vagahau Niue,” highlights the importance of keeping the Niuean language alive by speaking it, teaching it and passing it on to future generations.
There are several activities planned at OHS throughout the week, including Niuean food on Wednesday, lei making on Thursday and cultural performances on Friday. It will be a great opportunity for our Niuean students to share their culture with the wider school.
Keep an eye on student notices for more information about the week's activities. We look forward to celebrating Niue Language Week together!
