Students put their business knowledge into practice at their second Market Day of the year.
Our Year 10 Business Studies students hosted their second Market Day of the year today, selling a wide range of food and creative products to students and staff. It was a busy lunchtime, with plenty of customers supporting the student businesses. Throughout the term, students have been learning about entrepreneurship, marketing, finance and customer service. Market Day gave them the opportunity to put this knowledge into practice by developing their own business ideas, researching their target market, planning production, setting prices and promoting their products.
It was great to see students applying what they had learnt in the classroom and gaining firsthand experience of what it takes to run a small business. From managing costs to attracting customers and making sales, they had to make decisions and solve problems along the way. Well done to all our Year 10 Business Studies students for their efforts and thank you to everyone who supported their businesses on the day.
