OHS is delighted to announce the appointment of Ms Debbie Woollet-Hayden to the role of Academic Dean for 2026.

Debbie’s journey in education is an impressive one, anchored in our community. Her career began at OHS thirty-six years ago. Debbie has held numerous roles during her time with us including: Head of Department, a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Staff representative for the Board of Trustees, Key administrative strategist among others.

In her new role as Academic Dean, Debbie will work closely with our Year Group Deans to oversee student academic success. Her primary focus is to empower every student to reach their highest potential.

Debbie’s position carries responsibility for Academic Pastoral Care. This holistic approach integrates academic achievement with student wellbeing.

In this role, Debbie will build on the extremely pleasing NCEA results achieved by our students last year, continuing to strengthen academic success and support high-quality learning outcomes across the school.
