We were proud to open our doors to the whānau of our prospective 2026 Year 9 cohort at this year’s Open Night.
With three guided tours led by our outstanding prefects, whānau explored all of our learning areas—taking part in hands-on science experiments, solving maths challenges, and experiencing the richness of English through literature and discussion.
Junior students played a key role throughout the evening, answering questions and sharing their own insights into life at Onehunga High School. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and filled with excitement for what lies ahead.
The Principal spoke about our strong academic results and the values that shape our school, while Year 9 students Phoenix Smith and Zoe Barnett, alongside Deputy Head Girl Elise Woodward, shared their personal experiences. It was a pleasure to meet so many future students and their whānau—we look forward to welcoming the 2026 cohort to OHS.
Registrations are open now for the second and final Open Day on June 16 from 3.30-6.30pm: https://forms.office.com/r/PtQ4ZtBh0x
