Week 1 WAKA Award: Leading the Way: Xavier White

Week 1 WAKA Award: Leading the Way: Xavier White

Whether in the classroom or on the international orienteering stage, Year 11 student Xavier approaches every challenge with determination, integrity, and humility.

This week's WAKA Award recipient, Xavier White, is an outstanding all-round student who consistently demonstrates hard work, respect and humility. Xavier approaches his learning with dedication and a positive attitude, achieving excellent academic results through his strong work ethic and commitment to doing his best.

Beyond the classroom, Xavier is an accomplished sportsman, particularly in orienteering, where he has competed at both national and international levels. His achievements reflect the discipline, preparation and perseverance required to compete at such a high standard, while balancing his sporting commitments with his academic studies.

What makes Xavier particularly deserving of this recognition is his character. Despite his achievements in both academics and sport, he remains humble, respectful and grounded. He does not seek attention or recognition, instead allowing his actions and achievements to speak for themselves. He consistently sets a positive example for others through the way he approaches his learning and interacts with those around him.

Xavier is an excellent example of our WAKA values in action, and we are very proud to recognise him with this week's award.

Ka rawe, Xavier!
