Tere Te Tini Earns Cook Islands U19 Call-Up

Congratulations to Year 11 student Tere Te Tini on his selection for the Cook Islands U19 Men's Football Team and the opportunity to compete in the OFC U19 Men's Championship Qualifiers.

Following on from his recent international football successes, Year 11 student Tere Te Tini has achieved another significant milestone with selection for the Cook Islands U19 Men's Football Team. Tere earned his place in the squad after impressing earlier this year with the Cook Islands U16 side during the Oceania Qualifiers. He has now stepped up to the U19 level and is representing the Cook Islands in the OFC U19 Men's Championship Qualifiers.

The Cook Islands are competing against Tonga and Papua New Guinea for a place at the OFC U-19 Men's Championship 2026 in Samoa. The winner of the qualifying tournament will join the seven teams already confirmed for the championship, where the two finalists will secure qualification for the FIFA U-20 World Cup 2027 in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

We congratulate Tere on this latest international selection and wish him and the Cook Islands team every success in the tournament.
