Reese exemplifies excellence at Onehunga High School through academic success, sporting achievement, creative talent, and a positive attitude.
Reese is a very worthy recipient of the WAKA Award, recognised for the consistent success he demonstrates across all aspects of his life at Onehunga High School. In the classroom, Reese has shown strong academic commitment, achieving NCEA Levels 1 and 2 with Merit endorsement. His focus and work ethic set a great example for others. On the sports field, Reese represents OHS in both orienteering and cross country running, recently placing second in the school’s cross country event.
His dedication and perseverance are clear in his sporting achievements. Reese’s talents also extend to the stage. He successfully auditioned for and earned the role of Macbeth in this week’s school production of Shakespeare’s play. In addition, he is a member of the successful OHS Theatre Sports team and gives back to others by coaching the Junior Theatre Sports team. Behind the scenes, Reese plays an important role as one of the school’s sound engineers, supporting events such as Cultural Week performances and Talent Quest. Across all of these areas, Reese brings a genuine, helpful attitude that engages and inspires those around him.
