Structured revision sessions are available to support students prepare for their NCEA examinations.
With NCEA external examinations beginning on Tuesday 10 November, we want to remind all our senior students that although regular classes have finished, Onehunga High School is still here to support you. Throughout Week 5, our teachers will be running structured revision sessions and tutorials across a range of subjects. These sessions provide students with an opportunity to consolidate their learning, practise examination questions, receive feedback and seek additional support before their examinations.
We strongly encourage students to make use of these opportunities, particularly in subjects where they are working towards additional credits or Merit and Excellence endorsements. Students should also be revising independently, reviewing their class notes, practising past examination papers and reflecting on their preliminary examination results and feedback to identify areas for improvement. If there is no scheduled tutorial for your subject and you need additional support, please contact your teacher. We are here to help.
Additional Support with NCEA and University Entrance
- Students who need advice about achieving their NCEA qualification, University Entrance, Merit or Excellence endorsements or any other aspect of their academic progress are encouraged to contact their Dean or Deputy Principal.
- Year 13 students who have questions about University Entrance requirements should contact Mr King, who can provide guidance on their current progress and options for gaining additional credits, including through Te Kura Summer School.
