Recognising exceptional academic achievement and the highest academic honour at Onehunga High School.

At Monday's Senior Prizegiving, we were delighted to announce Zoe Lindsay as our 2026 Dux Litterarum, the most prestigious academic award at Onehunga High School. The award recognises the student who has achieved the highest level of academic excellence across all subjects.

Zoe has maintained an exceptional academic record throughout her time at OHS. In 2025, she achieved NCEA Level 2 with Excellence Endorsement, gaining an impressive 72 Excellence credits. This year, she has continued that success at Level 3, already achieving 54 Excellence credits and just 5 Merit credits, with her external examinations still to come.

Across her secondary schooling, Zoe has accumulated an extraordinary 172 Excellence credits, reflecting her consistent commitment to academic excellence and the high standards she sets for herself.

At Senior Prizegiving, Zoe also received first place in Level 3 Economics, Statistics and Photography, an Excellence Certificate in Geography and the Senior Statistics Cup.

Zoe's achievements reflect years of hard work and dedication to her learning. She is a deserving recipient of our school's highest academic honour and an excellent example of what can be achieved through commitment and determination.
