Onehunga High School students have been recognised for their outstanding commitment to volunteering through the nationally recognised Student Volunteer Army Service Awards.
During this week's whole school assembly, we were proud to recognise the following students for their commitment to volunteering through the Student Volunteer Army (SVA) Service Awards. The Student Volunteer Army Service Award is a nationally recognised programme that celebrates students who dedicate their time to serving others. By logging their volunteer hours, students work towards a series of milestones that acknowledge their contribution to their school and wider community.
Congratulations to our latest award recipients:
- Member Pin (5 hours): Faaosofia Lealaogata and Serah Ogunbunmi
- Bronze Pin (32 hours): Faaosofia Lealaogata, Judith Fynn and Serah Ogunbunmi
- Silver Pin (250 hours): Maryam Sameer Mohamed
A special congratulations to Maryam Sameer Mohamed on achieving the Silver Pin. Reaching 250 hours of volunteer service is an outstanding achievement and reflects an exceptional commitment to serving others. We congratulate all of our recipients for the positive contribution they are making to our school and wider community. Their service, leadership and willingness to give back are an excellent example of our WAKA values in action.
