Congratulations to Eloise and Dionne on a successful tour and on proudly representing both New Zealand and Onehunga High School.
Following their selection for the New Zealand Secondary Schools Girls' Under 16 Football Development Tour, Year 11 students Eloise Kerr and Dionne Carnachan have returned from a successful week in Melbourne.
The New Zealand team completed the tour unbeaten, recording four victories against strong Australian opposition. The results included wins over Melbourne Victory Academy (8–1), Geelong Galaxy Under 17 (5–3), Melbourne Victory (4–1) and South Melbourne FC (3–2), with the final match featuring both Under 17 and Under 20 players.
Coached by former Football Fern Annalie Longo, the tour provided Eloise and Dionne with the opportunity to compete in a high-performance environment alongside some of New Zealand's top young footballers while gaining valuable international experience.
