Registrations are now open for the Pacific Health Science Academy, a programme that supports Pasifika students to pursue tertiary study and careers in health and medical sciences.
Developed to increase Pasifika representation in the health workforce, the Academy provides students with opportunities to engage in authentic learning experiences, including hospital visits, interaction with health professionals and exposure to a wide range of health-related careers. These experiences help students develop a deeper understanding of health sciences while building the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future study.
The programme is open to Pasifika students in Years 11–13 who are enrolled in at least two science subjects.
Year 10 students who aspire to join the Academy next year should ensure they select both General Science and Double Science as part of their Year 11 programme to meet the entry requirements.
Students who are interested in joining the Pacific Health Science Academy are encouraged to register using the link provided on the poster and take the next step towards a future in health and science.
