Year 12 student Mustafa Ali has been recognised as the Week 3 WAKA Award recipient for his outstanding leadership, strong character, and commitment to living our WAKA values. Mustafa is an exceptional student who consistently strives to achieve his best. He has already achieved NCEA Level 2 and is on track to complete the qualification with an Excellence endorsement. As a member of the Health Science Academy, Mustafa has a genuine passion for learning and hopes to study medicine or engineering at university after leaving Onehunga High School. His strong academic results and commitment to his learning have him well placed to achieve those aspirations.

Alongside his academic success, Mustafa is a respected role model within the school community. He approaches every challenge with integrity and humility and is always willing to support those around him. He encourages his classmates, celebrates the success of others and builds people up without seeking recognition. His quiet leadership, selflessness and positive influence make him an outstanding ambassador for our WAKA values.
