Senior students took on 6km of mud, obstacles and teamwork at the Kumeu Showgrounds.

Our Year 12 and 13 students recently swapped the classroom for a very different challenge, taking on the 6km Tough Guy and Gal Challenge at the Kumeu Showgrounds. Alongside around 1,000 competitors from across the region, students made their way through a demanding off road course. Mud pits, wall climbs, crawl nets and waist deep water were just some of the obstacles waiting for them along the way.

While the course tested their endurance, it was the teamwork between our students that stood out. They helped each other over slippery walls, encouraged classmates through the more challenging sections and kept the smiles going despite plenty of mud. Our students represented OHS with great energy and positivity throughout the day. After a well earned wash and warm up, there was already plenty of enthusiasm for doing it all again next year.
