Year 12 student Bella leads with compassion, cultural pride and integrity.
Isabella Cathro is a true reflection of our WAKA values and a natural leader in our school community. A member of the Cultural Council, she proudly celebrates and supports her Niuean culture while encouraging others to do the same. She also demonstrates leadership through her involvement in volleyball and the running of the school’s Christian group.
Bella’s genuine care for others is something that stands out. She consistently looks out for those around her, leads with kindness and makes people feel supported and valued. This same approach is evident in her learning. Bella has already achieved NCEA Level 2 and is well on track to gain an endorsement, reflecting the high standards she sets for herself.
She approaches everything she does with integrity, resilience and a commitment to excellence, while showing respect to everyone she encounters. Bella is a positive role model, a compassionate leader and someone who makes a meaningful difference to our school community. She is a very worthy recipient of this week’s WAKA Award.
Ka mau te wehi, Bella!
