Congratulations to our Senior Ki o Rahi team on winning silver.

Our first OHS Senior Ki o Rahi team achieved an excellent second place at the College Sport Senior Novice Competition at Māngere Mountain. The team made a great start to the tournament, winning its opening games against Te Haikura a Kiwa and Manurewa High School before securing a third victory against Massey High School in the playoff to earn a place in the final.

OHS faced Papakura High School in the final and, despite not getting the result they wanted, can be extremely proud of finishing second overall. It was a fantastic first senior tournament for OHS, with students enjoying the opportunity to compete, develop their skills and represent the school.

With most of the team currently in Year 11, there is plenty to look forward to next year. This was a strong first showing at senior level and an exciting start for a young team with plenty of potential for the future.
