Congratulations to our debaters on securing their place in the tournament Grand Final.

The OHS Debating Team has won its semi final in the Southside Debate Project Interschool Debating Tournament, earning a place in the Grand Final against De La Salle College on Friday 25 September. Representing OHS in the semi final were Mariam Osman as Speaker 1, Harley Taufelila as Speaker 2 and Cleo Milne as Speaker 3, with Temo Saukuru, Ja-bez Halasima and Keith Blake as substitutes.

The team has performed strongly throughout the competition, demonstrating the ability to analyse challenging topics, develop convincing arguments and respond effectively under pressure. Their success in the semi final is a great achievement and sees OHS progress to the final stage of the tournament.

We are very proud of the team and wish them all the very best for the Grand Final next Friday.
