Congratulations to Amelia, Manaia and Bowen on their selection for Hands-On at Otago.

We are delighted to celebrate Year 12 students Amelia Fong, Manaia Lalaki and Bowen Manetoa, who have been selected for Hands-On at Otago, a residential programme at the University of Otago next January.

The students will travel to Dunedin and spend a week living in a university residential college, giving them the opportunity to experience university life first hand. They will work alongside Otago researchers on a specialist project, explore other university subjects through interactive Taster sessions, and take part in a range of sporting and social activities.

Amelia and Manaia have selected Pharmacy, while Bowen has chosen Physiology. The programme will allow them to explore their academic interests, develop new skills and meet other students from around New Zealand while gaining valuable insight into university study.

Adding to this achievement, two of our students are among a small number nationally to receive fully funded scholarships to attend the programme. We are very proud of Amelia, Manaia and Bowen and look forward to hearing about their experience at the University of Otago next year.
