OHS Enviro Club students are helping lead a community planting day to support local sustainability initiatives.
Onehunga High School Enviro Club students are helping organise a Schools Planting Day at the Onehunga Peoples Garden this Saturday, 16 May, from 10am to 12 midday. As part of the Youth Sustainability Leadership programme, students from local schools are working together to deliver community sustainability projects. This planting day will bring together students, whānau, and teachers from across the area to help plant 100 trees at the garden, located at 64 Arthur Street, Onehunga.
Participating schools include Onehunga High School, Royal Oak Intermediate, Onehunga Primary School, Oranga School, Te Papapa School, and Mangere Bridge School. Spades and gloves will be provided, and all students, whānau, and teachers are welcome to attend and support the initiative.
