Level 3 Economics students gained hands-on experience using Bloomberg Terminals at Massey University to explore how investment decisions are made in the real world.
Last Friday, our Level 3 Economics students visited Massey Business School for a practical learning experience focused on investment decision-making and financial markets.
During the visit, students worked with Bloomberg Terminals, a professional tool widely used in the finance industry to access live market data, company information, and economic trends. Through hands-on activities, students explored how investors assess risk and return, interpret market indicators, and understand the factors that influence business value.
The experience combined practical tasks with discussion-based learning, encouraging students to think critically about real-world financial decisions rather than focusing only on formulas and theory.
Students were highly engaged throughout the day and approached unfamiliar financial terminology and concepts with confidence and curiosity. It was encouraging to see students actively participating, building their understanding of economics in practice, and expressing enthusiasm for similar opportunities in the future.
