Level 2 Chemistry students used the term break to develop the precise laboratory techniques required for their upcoming internal assessment.
It has been great to see our Level 2 Chemistry students at school over the last two days of the term break, preparing for their upcoming titration internal assessment in term 3. Titration is a key practical technique in Chemistry that involves determining the concentration of a solution by carefully reacting it with a solution of known concentration. It requires students to work with precision, accuracy and careful observation. Over the two-day workshop, students practised the techniques they will be assessed on, refined their laboratory skills and received feedback from their teachers ahead of their formative assessment in Week 2 and the internal assessment later in the term.
It is fantastic to see our Chemistry programme continuing to grow, with two Level 2 Chemistry classes this year. The commitment shown by students to further develop their practical skills reflects the positive learning culture within our Science Learning Area. Thank you to Ms Brown, Mr Hyde-Sergejew, Ms Crews and Ms Heyworth for sharing their enthusiasm for Chemistry and providing these valuable learning opportunities for our students.
