Prospective students and their whānau joined us for an evening of connection, discovery, and a closer look at life at OHS.
On 17 June, we welcomed prospective students and their whānau to our second and final Information Evening for 2027 enrolments.
The evening was a great opportunity to connect with our local community and share the many successes and opportunities available at OHS. Prospective students and their whānau were guided around the school by our Prefects and Year 10 leadership students, who have recently completed a leadership programme. Their enthusiasm and pride in the school provided an authentic insight into life at OHS. Principal Ms Hayat spoke to parents and caregivers about the wide range of opportunities available to students and the many successes the school continues to achieve. From outstanding academic results to sporting, cultural and technology achievements, there is much to celebrate.
Students shared their experiences of attending their local school and spoke about the opportunities, friendships, and successes they have enjoyed during their time at OHS. Their stories highlighted the positive and supportive environment that helps students thrive. Thank you to everyone who attended despite the chilly weather. We greatly appreciate the strong turnout and the interest shown in our school.
Enrolments for 2027 are now open. In-zone families can complete their enrolment online and then attend one of our enrolment interview days. No booking is required.
Enrolment Interviews will be held on:
- Saturday 15 August (10.00am–2.00pm)
- Thursday 27 August (9.00am–5.00pm)

Following the enrolment interview, families will receive information later in the year about academy selections and arrangements for the start of 2027.
A limited number of places are available for out-of-zone students. Families wishing to apply should complete an online application. Applications close on Wednesday 2 September 2026, with the ballot taking place on Wednesday 9 September 2026. Families will be advised of the ballot outcome shortly afterwards.
We encourage families to apply as soon as possible. Full details about in-zone and out-of-zone enrolments, enrolment interview dates, ballot information, and the enrolment process can be found on the OHS website.
We look forward to welcoming the next group of OHS students and their whānau in 2027.
