Level 3 Hospitality Students Shine at Jet Park Hotel

Level 3 Hospitality Students Shine at Jet Park Hotel

Our Level 3 Hospitality students impressed industry guests with their professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional service at a formal event hosted at Jet Park Hotel.

Our Level 3 Hospitality students recently showcased their skills in a real-world industry setting, delivering outstanding table service at Jet Park Hotel for 70 guests attending a New Zealand School Boards Association event. From the moment guests arrived, students took responsibility for every aspect of the dining experience. They prepared the venue, set tables to a professional standard, and provided attentive service throughout the evening. Their confidence, teamwork, attention to detail, and professionalism were evident at every stage of the event.

What made the evening particularly special was the positive feedback received from guests. Many members of the New Zealand School Boards Association took the time to personally congratulate the students, commenting on the high standard of service, their courteous manner, and the professionalism they displayed throughout the evening. Several guests remarked on how impressed they were by the students' maturity and the quality of their work.

Experiences such as this are a valuable part of Hospitality education, giving students the opportunity to apply their classroom learning in an authentic industry environment. Working alongside hospitality professionals allows students to develop practical skills, build confidence, and gain a deeper understanding of the expectations of the industry.

The evening was a tremendous success and a credit to every student involved. They represented Onehunga High School with pride and proved themselves to be outstanding ambassadors for both the school and the Hospitality programme.
