Top Art Folio exhibition now on display at Onehunga High School.

Our Visual Arts department is hosting the Top Art Folio exhibition, featuring some of New Zealand’s best senior student artwork.

The Visual Arts department is once again hosting the Top Art Folio exhibition, a touring show of outstanding Level 3 work from around New Zealand. It includes top folios across Painting, Design, Photography, Printmaking and Sculpture, with many earning NCEA Scholarship.

The exhibition provides students with the opportunity to engage closely with a wide range of approaches to idea development, visual communication and portfolio presentation. Seeing completed folios in person allows students to appreciate the scale, detail and craftsmanship that cannot always be captured through digital images or assessment materials.

Students from across all year levels have enjoyed exploring the exhibition and discussing the different ways artists have responded to their chosen themes and concepts. These conversations encourage students to think critically about their own creative choices, experiment with new approaches and broaden their understanding of what is possible within their selected disciplines. By bringing national exemplars directly into the school, the exhibition enriches classroom learning and supports students to make informed decisions about the development of their own work.
