OHS defeated Saint Kentigern College and Botany Downs Secondary College in an entertaining evening of quick-thinking improvisation
Onehunga High School hosted a fantastic evening of Theatresports on last night, welcoming teams from Saint Kentigern College and Botany Downs Secondary College for a lively competition of improvisation and quick thinking. Representing OHS were Year 12 studdents Ashton Mahy, Daniel Grange, Ruby Walsh, and Reese Kilpatrick. With several students new to the team this year, the 2026 squad impressed with their creativity, confidence, and teamwork throughout the evening.
Performers tackled a variety of challenges, creating scenes on the spot based on audience suggestions. From time-travel adventures to workplace objects coming to life, the students kept the audience entertained with their wit and imagination while also demonstrating strong technical improvisation skills.
All three schools delivered excellent performances, making for a highly enjoyable night of theatre and competition. At the end of the evening, OHS was announced as the winning team, providing a well-deserved reward for a group that has quickly come together and performed strongly in front of a home crowd.
